Ingredients:
Cholam / Jowar / Sorghum - 1 cup
Idli Rice - 1/2 cup
Urad dhal - 2 tablespoon
Small onion - 30 or one handful
Red chilies - 5
Jeera - 1 spoon
Salt
Preparation:
1. Soak cholam, idli rice, and urad dhal together for about 6 hours. Cholam needs to be soaked for a longer duration. Hence soak all the items for a minimum of 6 hours.
2. Firstly grind small onions, red chilies, jeera, and salt.
3. Then add the soaked ingredients and grind to a dosa batter consistency.
4. After 4 to 5 hours of preparation, dosas can be prepared. However, if you are planning to use it the next day then make sure to refrigerate otherwise the batter might turn sour.
5. Heat a tawa and pour a big ladle of batter and spread as like normal dosa. Drizzle oil, flip and cook. This comes out as a very crispy dosa. Healthy and Crispy.
5. Tasty Cholam dosa is ready. Serve hot with coconut chutney.
