Ingredients:
Patani Paruppu or Channa dal - 1 cup
Green chilies - 4 or 5
Hing and Salt
Onion - 1 chopped finely
Pudhina leaves - 1/2 or 1/4 bunch. Chop the leaves finely
Preparation:
1. Soak Patani Paruppu or Channa dal for at least 3 - 4 hours.
2. In a mixie, add green chilies, hing, and salt and give it a run.
3. Drain the water from the dal and add the dal to the above mixie and grind it to a fine coarse. Shouldn't be watery or too coarse.
4. Remove to a vessel and mix with chopped onions and chopped mint leaves.
5. Heat the required quantity of oil in a kadai. Once you see the smoke, reduce the flame and put the vada and then raise the flame and remove to a serving plate once it is brown.
6. Tasty Pudhina Vadai is ready. Serve hot.
