Ingredients:
Onion - 3
Tomato - 1
Urad dhal - 1 spoon
Channa dal - 1 spoon
Red chilies - 5
Hing
Tamarind and salt
Preparation:
1. In a kadai, add little oil and saute urad dhal, channa dal, red chillies, and hing till brown. Set aside.
2. Once it cools down transfer it to mixie and give it a run. Keep it aside. Let the contents remain in the mixie at this time.
3. In the same kadai add a few more drops of oil and saute chopped onions and then followed by chopped tomatoes. Let it turn to a mushy consistency.
4. Now to the same mixie jar, add the above-fried items, little tamarind water, and salt and grind it to chutney consistency
5. Tasty Onion Tomato chutney is ready. Serve it as an accompaniment to appam dosa or ordinary dosa.
