Javvarisi Idli | Sago Idli | Sabudana Idli

Ingredients:

Raw Rice Kurunai | Idli Rava - 2 1/2 tumbler

Javvarisi | Sago | Sabudana (Nylon or Ordinary) - 1 tumbler

Sour Curd - as required

Soaked Channa Dal - 2 spoons (min 1 hour of soaking)

Green chilies, Curry Leaves, Coriander leaves, Mustard Seeds

Soda Salt - Little


Preparation:

1. The night before the actual day of preparation, mix raw rice kurunai, javvarisi, and sour curd as required to mix, salt and mix well. Let this soak overnight.

2. Next day morning add little water and a little more sour curd to the above to bring it to batter consistency.

3. Add popped mustard seeds and sautéed cut green chilies. Add chopped curry and coriander leaves. Add soaked channa dal.

4. Add soda salt right just before steaming the idlis. Mix the batter well along with soda salt and prepare idlis as like normal idli - steaming for about 10 mins.



5. Tasty Javvarisi Idli | Sago Idli | Sabudana Idli is ready. Serve hot with Coconut Chutney.
