Ingredients:
Wheat Flour | Godhumai Maavu - 2 cups
Powder Sugar - 2 cups (for 1 cup crushed wheat flour it would be 1 cup of sugar)
Ghee - 50 to 100 gms
Preparation:
1. In a bowl, take the wheat flour and use little water, and form a tight dough. Rest it for 15 mins.
2. Divide the dough into small balls and roll it out slightly thin. See pictures.
3. Roll out all the balls and dry them over a cloth. Make sure to flip and dry as well. Let it dry for 2 to 3 hours.
4. After drying, deep fry the above rolled-out dough in a kadai full of oil. Deep fry until it turns golden brown and crisp. See the below pictures and video.
5. Deep fry all the rolled-out dough balls into crisp papad and allow it to cool.
6. Once all the above wheat papads cool down, crush them to powder. Use a mixie and crush them to a fine powder.
7. Now spread the crushed wheat powder on a big plate and mix powder sugar along with it. For 1 cup of crushed wheat flour take 1 cup of powdered sugar). Mix the ingredients well.
8. Now mix the ghee into the above mixture and make sure enough moisture is there to hold a ball shape.
9. After mixing with ghee, now take a handful of the mixture and try to shape a small ball out of it.
10. Repeat this until the mixture is over.
11. Tasty Wheat Ladoo | Godhuma Pindi Unta | Godhumai Maavu Urundai is ready.
