Paneer - 200 gms
Green chilli - 1
Onion - 1
Kasuri Methi and Coriander leaves for seasoning - a pinch
For Grinding:
Onion - 2
Tomato - 2
Cashew Nuts - 10
Ginger - 1 inch
Garlic - 7 to 8 pods
Garam Masala - 1 spoon
Jeera Powder - 1/2 spoon
Coriander Powder - 1 spoon
Red Chilli Powder - 1 spoon
Kasuri Methi - a pinch
Preparation:
1. In a kadai, add a few spoons of oil, and saute ginger and garlic.
2. Saute chopped onions and chopped tomatoes. Saute till onion is tender and tomatoes turn mushy.
3. Add a pinch of kasuri methi, cashew nuts and give a good mix and switch off the flame.
4. Once the above cools down, grind it to a paste consistency.
5. In a kadai, add a few spoons of oil, saute one slit of green chilli and chopped onion.
6. Once onions turn tender, add chilli powder, garam masala powder, jeera powder, coriander powder, required amount of salt and give a good mix.
7. Add the ground paste along with little water and allow it to cook for 5 to 10 mins or until the raw smell if any goes off.
8. Once the above mixture gets cooked, add paneer sliced into cubes, a pinch of kasuri methi and give a good mix. Close the lid and cook for a few minutes.
9. After some time when everything comes together, add chopped coriander leaves and switch off the flame.
10. Tasty Paneer Butter Masala ready. Serve hot with chappathis.
