Sambar Podi / Powder


Ingredients:

Urad dhal - 1 cup

Channa dhal - 1 1/4 cup

Coriander seeds - 1 1/2 cups

Jeera - 4 spoon

Methi seeds - 1 spoon

Hing - little

Red chillies - 1 1/4 cup


Preparation:

1. In a kadai with little oil, roast all ingredients except red chillies till you get a nice aroma or till they are slightly brown, remove and allow it to cool.

2.  In the same kadai with little oil, roast red chillies till you get a nice aroma or till it is slightly roasted. Allow it to cool.

3. Once all the ingredients are at room temperature, grind them together using a mixie to a fine powder consistency.

4. Samar powder is ready. Store in an airtight container.
