Ingredients:
Vegetables - Raw banana, pumpkin, avarakai, arai keerai
Tamarind water - 2 cups diluted
Jaggery - 2 spoons
Sambar Power - 1 spoon
Rasam Powder - 1 spoon
Mustard seeds, Hing, Curry, and Coriander leaves for seasoning
Preparation:
1. Cut and boil the vegetables in water until tender.
2. Add the required amount of tamarind water, jaggery, and salt and continue to boil it
3. Add sambar powder and rasam powder and boil to pulusu consistency.
4. Add curry and coriander leaves and add spluttered mustard seeds along with hing and switch off
5. Tasty Kalla Pulusu / Amavasya Pulusu / Thithi Pulusu is ready. Serve hot with rice.
Notes:
1. Usually this pulusu is prepared on amavasya or thithi
2. If preparing on thithi, use the same vegetables that are being offered for the ancestors.
3. This pulusu is slightly thin because there is no thickening stuff added. Adjust tamarind water and jaggery consistency as per your taste.
